Valida Mop head

HMTooling supplied a four imp mould tool to produce a well known mop head. The project was turned around in 8 weeks from initial approval to passed off samples.

HMTooling worked closely with the Moulder to construct the tool to fit a 440tn Sandretto, with restrictions on height/ headroom.

 All cavity inserts are fully hardened to 52rc and highly polished. Parts are fed by sub gates from small runners fed by four separate hot tips using a dedicated hot runner system. The main internal cores were operated by a single hydraulic cylinder so that a special locking design between the cores operated correctly.

The Mop head houses the spline shown which is attached to the Handle and cleaning head.
